Amber Wigmore Álvarez, Executive Director of Career Services at IE, and Associate Director, Irina Zilbergleyt, along with IE India Director for Corporate Relations, Shyam Patel, held meetings with several senior level HR Heads at companies in Mumbai and Bangalore from April 4th to 7th. Companies visited included National Stock Exchange (NSE), Elara Capital, HDFC Asset Management, Motilal Oswal, EY, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, GE, Infosys and Myntra. The meetings were very positive, resulting in assurance of support and alliance between these companies and IE Career Services in India. Other companies showed interest in IE Executive Training programs which could be conducted for their senior level working professionals.
During her trip, Amber Wigmore Álvarez moderated an executive search panel discussion with India’s leading professionals from the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC), including Signium International and 3P Consultants, at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai on April 4th.
While at Infosys, they received the wonderful news about our students advancing in their selection process and ultimately that one Master in Business Analytics and Big Data (MBD) graduate had been selected for the InStep Global Internship Program. They enjoyed an amazing visit to their Bangalore campus where they had the opportunity to have lunch with several members of their HR Department, as well as with three IE alumni currently holding internships there.
IE CMC has strengthened its partnership with the Head of University Relations for South Asia at GE, which has empaneled IE’s Master in Management (MIM) program for recruitment for the following three leadership programs in India:
CLP – Commercial Leadership Program
HRLP – HR Leadership Program
ITLP – IT Leadership Program
The CTC offered for these programs is Rs. 13.75 Lacs p.a. + 1.5 Lacs joining bonus. Furthermore, Shyam Patel introduced Marcos Ramírez, Associate Director for IE’s MBD program, to GE’s Head of University Relations for South Asia, who held a meeting in Bangalore on April 22nd. GE has shown interest in students from the MBD for their leadership program intake.
Recruitment for GE’s Finance Leadership Program (FLP) for finance professionals is done through internship mode only for internships during April and May in India. The Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP) for experienced MBA graduates with 5 to 7 years of experience is closing this year and GE is planning to launch the Accelerated Leadership Program (XLP) for HR, Finance, Sales and Supply Chain professionals with an MBA and an average of 5 to 7 years of work experience in relevant areas. GE has also asked for CVs of current Indian students from IE’s MBD program graduating in July’ 16 for their leadership program role in the organization.
The visit to Goldman Sachs was extremely positive and they will be looking at IE Master in Finance (MIF) graduates with 0 to 3 years of experience for campus recruitment roles at Goldman Sachs in India. They will also look at IE MIF graduates through the off-campus recruitment mode based on periodic requirements coming from the business teams.
Motilal Oswal will recruit only from premier business schools in India. They are specifically looking at IE MIF graduates for their one year rotational Management Trainee SPARK Program. One MIM-MIF dual degree program graduate profile is already being screened by the company for the said Management Trainee program.
HDFC Asset Management will look at IE MIM and MIF graduates for internship roles. Candidates performing well in the internship will be offered full-time roles in the organization. They will also be sharing JDs for full-time entry level positions.
Company visits were complemented by a cocktail and dinner with IE Alumni in Bangalore on April 6th.
