Eduardo Galvis, student of the International MBA, class of 2015, is currently working at A.T. Kearney.
How did you find out about this job opportunity?
A.T. Kearney received my CV through the CV Book that the Career Management Center (CMC) sent them. After that, I got a call where they invited me to apply (online) for the Associate Position.
How did the CMC and your IE experience help you during the recruiting process?
My Career Advisor, Lucía Andrés, shared with me some tips and useful information regarding the methodology of the case interview. The CMC offered me the possibility of doing a mock interview. I also attended to the course they organized on how to crack the case interview.
How was the recruiting process: stages, tests, interviews, etc?
The recruiting process was quite extensive. The first step was to submit the application and a proper cover letter (specific for the job and company, which implied some previous research to be done). Then I got invited to the first interview round at their offices in Madrid. After that, I had three more interviews through Skype. Finally, after two months, I got a call from them telling me that I was getting an offer.
Would you like to share any tips with future IMBA students interested in applying to A.T. Kearney?
- Do research about the company and the main competitors before applying.
- Have a good elevator pitch.
- Be aware that you will face many case interviews so get ready for it and prepare yourself.
- Be patient.
