If you are interested in a job in Consulting, do not miss this opportunity and sign up here!
As mentioned earlier in a post in the Campus Life blog, IE will be organizing career roundtables under the ieTalks! umbrella. Every time a different kind of job or industry will be covered. The first one of these talks will be held this week on September 19th at 18:00 in MM 302. The topic will be Consulting.
In this type of format, current IE students will share with you their own experiences. They will talk about their former companies and give you first hand information about the culture they observed. They can provide you with useful details about the recruiting process and might have some advice on how to best manage it. Above all, they are your most valuable resource to build a network in your target companies.
Career changers might also find this session useful just to get a better understanding of what a specific role actually looks like. This Thursday, you will have the chance to learn about what the people that call themselves “Consultants” do day-to-day and what are their main tasks. You should also try to find out about the less pleasurable parts of the work that are usually not advertised prominently by the employers. In fact, it might be that the biggest benefit of these sessions is for you to find out, whether you really want to work at a certain place.
We are looking forward to this initiative and hope it will help to strengthen our network here at IE and better leverage the existing resources.
