The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme
During this year in addition to company participants from the private world, over 20 international organizations, NGOs and foundations joined the IE Career Fair. The United Nations Volunteers is one of them. The recruiters from the UNV conducted a virtual presentation to our students and recent alumni. They talked about their UN volunteer recruitment and online volunteering opportunities.
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that supports sustainable human development globally through the promotion of volunteerism, including the mobilization of volunteers. It serves the causes of peace and development by enhancing opportunities for participation by all peoples. It is universal, inclusive and embraces volunteer action in all its diversity. It values free will, commitment, engagement and solidarity, which are the foundations of volunteerism.
UNV is active in around 130 countries every year. UNV, with Field Units in 86 countries, is represented worldwide through the offices of the United Nations Development Programme.

World Economic Forum
For the first time, IE has the honor of having the World Economic Forum present at the annual Career Fair.
The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. The Forum relies on a team of almost 500 people from over 50 nations in 4 offices worldwide.
In addition to the stand participation, the WEF conducted a presentation to our students at the Aula Magna. More than a hundred students joined this event. The recruiters introduced the students to career opportunities within the organization and the selection process for their 4 offices in Geneva, New York, Tokyo and Beijing.
